If you would like accommodation whilst attending a workshop, we have a few places you could stay:
Below we have details about the cottage on site with the barn & alpacas at Maesnewydd, but we are very excited to announce we will be offering “hobbit” style holiday accommodation in 2024 two miles down the road at Llangyniew at Maes Oaken (Oaken field). Building work has begun & we aim to have the first of four homes open by Feb 24.
Maesnewydd Cottage a 1 bedroom property that sleeps up to 4
Maesnewydd Cottage is on site at Meifod Valley Alpacas and is connected to Maesnewydd farmhouse. The cottage was once part of the cow sheds with haybarn upstairs. Converted more than 20 years ago, the cottage is now a separate self contained annex to the main farmhouse. The workshop is right next door in our converted barn.
What you’ll find at Maesnewydd Cottage:
This delightful 1 bedroom property has a double bedroom upstairs, lounge with TV, WIFI, freeview via a sky box (it doesn’t have sky), a double sofa bed and a dining table.
The kitchen is fully fitted with an oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, fridge freezer and comes with dishwasher tablets alongside tea towels, dishcloths and cleaning equipment if you need it.
Upstairs you’ll find a full size bath but no shower due to the slope of the ceiling, however we do have a mixer shower head on the taps. We provide enough toilet roll to get you started with a few toiletries.
Towels can be found folded for you on the double bed and bedding for the sofa bed can be found in the wardrobe. More towels are available in the airing cupboard in the bathroom if required.
The views of the neighbouring hills can be seen as soon as you step outside. A large garden area is also available to let any pets run wild but this is not enclosed.
We ask that you leave the cottage in the condition in which you found it please. Any furniture you move during your stay must be put back to where you found it, prior to your departure.
Pets:
We welcome a maximum of 2 dogs per booking at a cost of £10 per dog per stay. We love having dogs stay and with a large garden area for them to enjoy, it’s ideal for your fur babies. We only ask that your dogs don’t sleep on the beds due to the fur embedding in the sheets and duvets. Not all visitors to the cottage are pet friendly, so we would like to respect those who aren’t as well as those that are.
Cost:
Prices vary from £85-£105 a night depending upon the season.
We ask for a minimum 2 nights stay and a 20% non refundable deposit to secure your dates with the full remaining amount to be paid 6 weeks before you arrive.
Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel your booking between 4 weeks and 48 hours prior to your stay, we will refund 50% of your payment. This doesn’t include the 20% deposit.
If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of your stay, we retain the full amount and no refund is paid.
When you pay your deposit or full amount, you agree to these terms of the cancellation policy.
